WARRANTY AND SERVICE
(Limited Warranty) |
All Belt Drives Ltd. pulleys are sold subject to the terms of the following limited warranty and service agreement. The purchase of a Belt Drives Ltd. pulley constitutes the agreement of the purchaser to the following terms and conditions and expressly excludes and limits any other claims, rights and liabilities.
BELT DRIVES LTD. Warrants their pulleys to be free of defects in material and workmanship for (1) one year from date of original purchase. Enclosed warranty card must be on file at BDL for warranty to be in effect. This warranty includes all manufacturing processes and labor. This warranty does not extend to the cost of re-placement parts or labor. If defects occur under warranty, the product will either be repaired or replaced to the original purchaser free of charge. BELT DRIVES Ltd. expressly reserves the right to repair or replace the product with new or refurbished parts. You must ship all warranty service to BELT DRIVES. Ltd, 5500 E. La Palma Ave., Anaheim, CA 92807.
QUALIFICATION:
To qualify for this warranty, the customer MUST mail in the warranty registration card within 15 days of purchase and a qualified Harley mechanic must install the drive.
EXCLUSIONS AND LIMITATIONS:
This warranty does not cover: Damage in transit, damage from accident, misuse, negligence, improper installation, lack of maintenance or improper operation. Damage caused by alteration of pulleys or other component parts, or repairs made by anyone other than BELT DRIVES Ltd. or it’s authorized repair agent. Belt drive kits are intended for STOCK APPLICATIONS with safety devices including but not limited to shrouds and guards. The use of any product manufactured by BELT DRIVES Ltd. on other than STOCK APPLICATIONS or without such safety devices constitutes misuse of our product and will VOID the warranty. BELT DRIVES Ltd. does not warrant and has no liability for any damages or injuries to person or property that may occur from misuse of our product. BELT DRIVES Ltd. has designed this equipment for use with OEM stock parts and not after market parts. Therefore BELT DRIVES Ltd. assumes no liability for damage or injury resulting to users in the event that its equipment is installed on motorcycles that incorporate after market frames, motors, transmissions, high torque starters or inner/outer primary. Only a qualified mechanic should install belt drives. The belt drive components must be properly maintained. Failure to follow the manufacturers recommended maintenance schedule shall void the warranty.
THERE IS NO WARRANTY ON BELTS. NO WARRANTY OF PRODUCTS USED FOR RACING.
PURCHASE OF OTHER REQUIRED EQUIPMENT:
The proper and safe use of a belt drive may require the replacement of motorcycle existing safety equipment and installation of other safety equipment. All distributors of BELT DRIVES Ltd. belt drive kits, will assist the customer in selecting appropriate safety equipment for a safe conversion.

LEGAL RIGHTS/LIMITATIONS OF LIABILTY:
This limited warranty is issued in lieu of all other expressed or implied warranties, Including the implied warranty of merchantability and the implied warranty of fitness for a particular purpose. There are no other warranties than the expressed limited warranty set forth in this document. No one is authorized to assume or undertake for BELT DRIVES Ltd. any other liability In connection with the sale or use of this product. BELT DRIVES Ltd. is not liable for incidental or consequential damage, commercial loss or any other loss or damages not specified in this warranty. BELT DRIVES Ltd.’s sole obligation hereunder is the repair and/or replacement of the defective product. No individual has the right to extend this warranty period. No individual can accept for, or on behalf of BELT DRIVES Ltd., any obligation or liability in connection with the sale of this product. This warranty is valid only in the U.S.A. and only to the original purchaser and motorcycle registered owner.
